Coming off of 7DFPS’s

, I’m going to continue to investigate language-based games.
Those old 16-bit Japanese turn-based wrestling/fighting games — abstracting the intense action of Sumo and wrestling into RPG mechanics
Phoenix Wright’s logic-based gameplay — the courtroom scenes
Are there any games about debate/reasoning? How can I make rhetoric fun?…

In terms of debating, aside from Phoenix Wright… I can only think of Monkey Island’s insult sword fighting. In terms of reasoning, there are tons of puzzle games from more abstract games like minesweeper and piccross to less abstract games like Clue (the board game). Very interested to see where this goes!
